Tekmar awarded CPS supply contract for multiple offshore wind farms in China

Tekmar Group, a leading provider of technology and services for the global offshore energy markets, is pleased to announce a significant new contract award to supply 100 Cable Protection Systems (“CPS”) for use on multiple offshore wind farms in the Shangdong and Guangdong provinces of China. The contract value is for £1.6m and the systems are expected to be delivered through 2022.

Alasdair MacDonald, CEO of Tekmar Group, said: “This award is a continuation of our recent contract momentum and builds on our success in the important Chinese market. The contract reflects the hard work of our team in Shanghai and strengthens the Group’s presence in the region, supporting our global growth strategy.

Tekmar Energy secures major OPEX contract for offshore wind project

Tekmar Energy, a Tekmar Group Company, has secured a significant contract to supply its products to protect subsea cables on a major operational offshore wind farm project.

The contract includes work for Tekmar Energy’s sister companies Subsea Innovation and AgileTek Engineering, demonstrating the value of the Group’s combined offering to the offshore wind market.

The contract is valued in excess of £4.5 million and will be delivered in 2021.

Tekmar Energy bolsters management team with the appointment of new directors

Tekmar Energy, a Tekmar Group company, is delighted to announce the appointment of Marc Bell as Director of Operations and Leanne Wilkinson as Finance Director.

Marc is an industry professional with over 20 years technical and operational management experience.  Marc previously held positions as Director of Operations with JDR Cables, Head of Offshore Operations with Siemens Gamesa and Global Operations Manager with Technip.  During this period, he has developed a wealth of experience within the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy sectors working for and alongside Operators, Windfarm Developers, EPICs, O&M Operators, OWM’s and supply chain manufacturers.  As a lean practitioner and certified six sigma black belt Marc has delivered numerous business change programs via an integrated approach of lean, six sigma and operational excellence methodologies.

Leanne is a CIMA Qualified Accountant with over 20 years’ experience as a senior finance professional and business leader.  Leanne’s previous roles have been across manufacturing and technology sectors and included a lead finance and integration role in the acquisition from Serco to Cubic Corporation. Leanne has sound commercial and operational knowledge and awareness built up across portfolios of live contracts and bids.  In addition to significant experience gained in strategic business planning, Leanne also has a strong record of process improvements, managing change and adherence to financial controls and group reporting processes.
